Sanford Allen - Ellen Allen 1840's

Hi there,

I have a Sanford Allen who was my great, great grandmother's father. His father was John Allen, the first man to settle in the Eastern part of Pike Township in Brown Co. Ohio, or so the family story goes. Sanford and his six brothers and sisters were born there.

Somewhere along the line it seems that Sanford and his wife Ellen moved to Mississippi, possibly Columbus. Unfortunately, I haven't Sanford's wife's surname.

I do, however, have a few copies of letters that Sanford wrote his wife from Biloxi, Mississippi as he was dying from consumption in July of 1844.

If any of this is setting off bells, please email me and perhaps we can share info.

Thanking you in advance,
Katherine
