I ‘m a Webb descendant, looking for a common line containing William (Carroll or “H”) Webb.
Born 1818/20 in Tennessee,he married Sarah Jane Brown and had seven children
before he died in 1855 in Clifton Tennesee.
The children were;
Henry Marshall Webb b.12/20/1847
William Riley Webb b.10/06/1845
Susan Webb b.1842
Margaret Webb b.1850
Julia Ann Webb b.1837
James(Jim) William Webb b.09/18/1840
Mary Minerva Webb b.1853

According to the 1850 census,
William C. Webb
Dist. no 6 Itawamba co. Ms. 1850
William C. Webb 30 Tn
Sarah 30 Nc
Julie Ann 11 Tn
James 9 Tn
Susanna 7 Tn
William 3 Tn
Henry M. 1 Ms

William C Webb had a sister,Minerva. She married Jesse Rose.
William & Minerva’s Father has been found as James Webb born 1790-1794, died about 1830 in Lawrence, Tenn.

William Carroll Webb is my GGGrandfather, the line being:
William Carroll Webb b.1820
William Riley Webb b.Oct 6,1845
Jonathan Jefferson Webb b.Sept 2,1877
Beatrice Webb( his daughter) is my Mom.

I have Jonathan's hand written family tree.
I have pictures of William Carrol and Sarah Jane Brown.
William Carroll Webb was a custodian of slaves on a large plantation in Mississippi before moving to Wayne Country,Tenn. sometime between 1850 and 1855.
Two of William Carroll's daughters,Julia Ann and Susan, were attending a boarding school in Wayne Country when they contracted a fever. He traveled to check on them and caught the fever. All three died within three days. The estate was probated in Wayne County. on Jan.7,1856
William Webb is buried at Indian Creek, Wayne County, Tennessee.

I'm hoping someone can help me get further back
I know our Webbs came from Wales, but I haven't been able to bridge the gap.
Can you please help or refer me to someone who can?
Thank You, Steve Neal
