Grover Smith (my great uncle brother to my greatgrandfather Wm M. Smith and Minnie Whaltey) married Eva Ehlers aft.1910 since the 1910 Jax Co.,Ms Census shows him age 21 and single.
My known living Ehlers cousin are:

Frederick Ehlers born Berlin,Germany (c.1800-c.aft1840) and Sophie ? Ehlers (c.1800-c.aft1840) were in Mississippi by time of 1850 census.
Had four sons:
1. Charles J. Ehlers born Berlin,Germany (1833-1921) married c.1875 Sarah A. Miller (c.1845-aft1875)
Charles and Sarah Children
i. Charley J. Ehlers (1870-1925) married 1891 Lela Shields (c.1870-aft1891)
ii.William Ehlers (1875-1932) married ?
2. Henry William Ehlers (c.1835-aft1875) married 1875 (1) Minerva Miller (c.1850-aft1875), (2) Lenora Reus (xxxx-xxxx)
3. Frederick James Ehlers born Berlin,Germany (c.1830-aft.1868) deserted during the war and married 2 or 3 times up in Indiana.

i. Fred Joseph Ehlers (1868-1935)
4. William Ehlers (c.1840-xxxx) married ?
All 4 sons enlisted in Twiggs Rifles during the Civil War.
