Martha Gibson (1840-1903) was the sister of my GrGr Grandfather, William Alexander Gibson 9(1841-1929)and daughter of W.A. Gibson. I have a copy of the marriage license where Martha Gibson married Lewis Wilkerson in 1859 in Columbus,Lowndes Co, MS. Lewis WIlkerson and my GrGr Grandfather, William Alexander Gibson served in the Civil War with the 35th Miss. Infantry Regiment. Lewis was captured 3 times! He finally took an oath to serve in the US Army and assigned to the Santa Fe trail duty and apparently died between 1866 and 1870. Martha and Lewis had 2 sons, John and Henry but you may already know this. Martha married William Goodwin in 1870 and had a Son, John.
I have a paper in WORD format about Martha and Lewis Wilkerson and can send it to you via e-mail if you like.
