The William Alexander Gibson, 1841-1929 Lowndes CO,MS is my GrGr Grandfather. Although his father, William Gibson,came from SC in 1850s, this William A. Gibson, 1841-1929, was in Co H, 35th Regiment, Mississippi Infantry for the Civil War-not SC.
I have tons of information on my GrGr Grandfather, William A. Gibson, including his civil war service and pension papers. He was actually married 3 times and my GrGr Grandmother was 2nd, Sidney Stevens. Her sister Celia was 3rd. I descend from Frances Idella Gibson who married a Strickland. My Mother was a Strickland.
