Tupelo – Preston Stanley Brown, 65, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at the Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory. He was born Sept. 2, 1943, in Amory to Stanley Libran and Mazie Mitchell Brown. He married Methel Suddieth in 1989. Before retiring, he was a truck triver, traveling all 50 states. He was a member of the Eggville Freewill Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed raising dogs, church activities and talking about his truck driving experiences.
Memorial services were at the Eggville Freewill Baptist Church with E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included his wife, Methel Brown of Tupelo; and one sister, Winona Faye Brown Hicks of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
