Ricky D. Boyette, 42, died June 1, 2009, at his residence. He was born Nov. 18, 1966, in Tupelo to Henry and Faye Boyette. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He was employed in the furniture industry and with several fine dining restaurants. In earlier years, he enjoyed water sports. He enjoyed maintaining his yard, cooking and NASCAR. He went to horse shows with his grandfather when he was a little boy and continued it into his adult life. His greatest ambition was to help people improve their life.
Services were at Lee Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors included one son, Ricky D. “Bo” Boyette of Tupelo; his mother, Faye Boyette of Tupelo; four brothers, Chris Boyette and Jason Scott (Jennifer) Boyette of Tupelo, Gary (Lee Ann) Boyette of Watkinsville, Ga., and Mickey (Karen) Boyette of Baldwyn; two sisters, Glenda (Jerry) Smith of Orange, Texas, and Terri Ann (Greg) Hebert of Brandon; his grandmother, Verlie Tune of Tupelo; his aunts, Katherine Boyette of Panama City, Fla., Elizabeth (Billy) Putt of Tupelo, Carlene Davis of Tupelo and Karen (Jim) McGee of Belden; his uncles, Ray (Nancy) Tune of New Albany and Lane Tune of Tupelo; many nieces and nephews and a special nephew, Matthew Scott Boyette, who affectionately called him “Uncle Gicky.”
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Boyette; his grandparents, John Tune, and William and Hettie K. Boyette.
