This particular group of Maddox were in Lauderdale County in 1880 and listed on that census. My grandfather Walter Benjamin Maddox was listed along with others. My grandfather along with most of the others listed in that census migrated to Collin County Texas sometime between then and 1900. It is reported that there were a couple of the brothers George and Jefferson Davis Maddox along with their mother Emily King Maddox who died in Mississippi and quite possibly Lauderdale County since that was where they were in 1880. Their listing shows that they lived in the Tunnel Hill Community. Unfortunately it seems that there has not been an enumeration of The Tunnel Hill Cemetery as far as I can determine. One of the younger Maddox sisters is stated as having been born in Enterprise Mississippi. This is a shot in the dark but sometimes some of my efforts along that line have resulted in discovery of valuable information. I would appreciate any help or leads one might have or suggest.
