Looking for information on the parents of:
John M. McBroom
Born about 1835 in Alabama (city/county unknown, exact date unknown)
Died either on 7/25/1864 or 10/21/1864
(Family records have two different dates for DOD.)
He was in Company A, 9th Mississippi Infantry, CSA. Died at Empire Hospital, Macon, GA, of gangrene from battle wounds.
Married to Mary M. Guest McBroom on 1/15/1857 at Lafayette County, MS. (Mary later remarried James Mundalyn on 10/10/1865 at Lafayette County, MS.)
Left at least one son, William Jefferson McBroom, born 7/25/1859 in Lafayette County, Miss.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
