Can anyone tell me whether the Lafayette Co. Courthouse has records going back to the mid 1800s, or if, as in so many counties, they have been lost/destroyed by fires or other disasters? I would like to search for records of Amanda Harmon, daughter of Matthew Smith Harmon. Thank you very much.
