I am looking for any information on the Henderson family in Kemper County, MS. James Henderson, born 1815 in TN, died after 1900 in Kemper County, buried in Old Union Cemetery. He moved to Kemper from Lauderdale county, MS, sometime after the Civil War. He appears on the 1880 census with wife Elizabeth, and daughter Laura. In 1900 James and Elizabeth are in household of daughter and son-in-law, Oliver Gilbert. Also, on the 1880 Kemper Co census is Pate (Payton) Henderson, 30 years old, and family. He was the son of Tyree Henderson, James' brother.Payton married first Mary Roxie Seals, second marriage to Mary Roxies sister Rachel Seale Grantham. They are buried at Mt. Hebron Methodist in Kemper County. Any help is appreciated.
