Fulton – Clarence Edward Loden, 87, died Feb. 24, 2010, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born Sept. 1, 1922, in Itawamba County to Abner Moore and Eckles Gregory Loden. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and a retired farmer. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific. He enjoyed woodworking and auctions.
Services were Feb. 27 at Senter Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Keys Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife of 63 years, Alene Loden of Fulton; one daughter, Sandra Holcomb (Ellie Hugh) of Huntsville, Ala.; two sons, Jerry Loden (Margaret) of West Point and Eddie Loden (Karen) of Fulton; seven grandchildren, Steven Loden (Haines), Cathy Kennedy (Brad), Robert Moore (Vanessa), Sherry Gray (Marty), Hugh Holcomb Jr. (Vanessa), Michael Loden (Shawni) and Karen Loden; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Euice Whitt of Fulton, Janet Jones (John) of Houston, Jettie Norris (David) of Tupelo and Sue Murrell (Edward) of Tremont; one brother, Kenneth Loden (Laura) of Tupelo; two sisters-in-law, Eva Loden of Mantachie and Margaret Loden of Memphis.
He was preceded in death by a great-grandchild, Alex Loden; brothers, Douglas Loden and Albert Loden; and his parents.
Parents: Abner Moore Loden September 01, 1901 - May 26, 1986 and Josie Eckles Gregory April 28, 1904 - March 02, 1992
