Cordova, Tenn. – Verle Hall Jr., 77, formerly of Mantachie, died Oct. 7, 2009, at his home. He was born Nov. 24, 1931, in Norfolk, Va., to Verle and Ruby Cox Hall Sr. He had worked at Daybrite and in the maintenance department at Foamex. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of VFW Post 4313. He was a member of the Monument Drive Baptist Church in Tupelo.
Services were Oct. 10 at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife, Quay Hall, of Cordova; one son, Terry Hall (Brenda) of New Bern, N.C.; one daughter, Darlene Kindle (Greg) of Memphis; three granddaughters, Nicole Spangenberg (Nick) of Memphis and Courtney Hall and Lindsay Hall, both of New Bern; two great-grandsons, Hudson Spangenberg and Hayden Spangenberg, both of Memphis; one brother, Bill Hall (Armilda) of Pearland, Texas; one sister, Geraldine Baker (Roland) of Jonesboro, Ark.; one aunt, Clara Baker of Jonesboro, Ark,; cousins, Joyce, Golden, Jo Ann and Arnita; and numerous nieces and nephews.
