Cornelia Frances Carver was born about 1832 in either N.C. or AL. She died in 1891 in Grenada Co. MS. She married William Shewmake about 1849 in Choctaw Co. MS. They had the following children in Grenada Co. MS:

1) Virginia A. Shewmake (1850-1916) m. Robert Cannon
2) Eugene Maranda Shewmake (1854-1885) m. Mary Jane Middleton.
3) Kerney William Shewmake (1858-1919) m. Carrie Mary Childs.
4) Margaret A. Shewmake (1858-1887)
5) Jesse Fletcher Shewmake (1861-1835) m. Hattie Kent
6) Cordelia S. Shewmake (1862-1942) m. Meredith Moore
7) Martha Emma Shewmake (1868-1887) m. Tom Kent
8) J. Lee Shewmake (1871-)
9) Maranda W. Shewmake (1874- ) m. Mary Jane Middleton

Would like to correspond with any descendants of Cornelia Frances Carver and William Shewmake. Does anyone know who the father of Cornelia Frances Carver is? Is she the daughter of William Carver and Clara Hamlin? Did she have a brother named William Martin Carver and Joseph Mangrum Carver? Will be glad to share any family information that I have. Charlotte G. Boykin
