Thank you for your reply to my earlier message.
I have dug about in South Carolina records hoping to find more about the Davis and McCann families.
There is probably items to be found but they are not published and may be in the Camden library or another library. One must view any records on-site since they are not on microfilm.
The McCain name is a problem for us. There was a McCain family in SC close by the Davis and McCann families. The pronunciation of names creates problems too.
I have not been able to obtain material on Jane's daughter Mary Ann. The courthouse is there and I am here. You know the distance problem.
Throwing a wide net to cover every family who intermarried with the Davis and McCann families is about the only solution I can think of in order to find tidbits of data.
If you find anything that will assist in solving the problem, I do hope that you will share with me.
