Posted by: kelly parks (ID *****1986) Date: August 27, 2008 at 06:03:37
  of 178

        7. Johannes "John"2 Crider (Joseph1) was born on 19 Feb 1751 at Orangeburg, SC (19 Feb 1757, ? I have also seen May 1757). He was baptized in May 1757 at Orangeburg, SC, USA. He married Rachel (Crider) after 1780 at SC. He died after 1840 at Copiah or Madison, MS.
He began military service at GA??, USA, need more research. Back in the late 80's I was told he served as a solider in GA.

As of 1800, Johannes "John" Crider (or the family of) lived at Orange, Orangeburg, MS. They appeared on the census (John Cryder page would not load, need to see age of this John).

       As of 1820, Johannes "John" Crider (or the family of) lived at Franklin, MS, USA. They appeared on the census (m 45+, m-10, m 16/18, m 16/26, m 16/26, f 45+, f-10, f-10, f 10-16, f 16-20).

As of 1830, Johannes "John" Crider (or the family of) lived at Copiah? Franklin?, MS, USA. They appeared on the census (needs more research, where is he, he should be in Copiah).

He had deed sold land Section 25, Twp 9 North, Range 6 East. This was land he got in 1825.
John Crider sold to Neal Smiley 11-2-1829, deed recorded 1-4-1832
Nov 1829 (book c page 494) J. John Crider (sold) to Neal Smiley T9N R6E Section 25 W1/2 SW ¼ (John Cryder got this land Feb 8 1825) List in “Origianl Land pat books next door is Jacob Ruple(got land same date as John Crider) and Neill Smiley got first original land in 1830’s) This deed of Sale was written 2 November 1829 and recorded 4 Jan 1832. It was a written deed as Evan H. Spencer and Samuel Gunn -- Test. and Acknowledge the deed. John Crider made his mark and wife Rachel Crider was questioned.
John Crider (sold) to Micajah Justavar August 1836 (book F 149)(filed 1838) T10N R5E Section 36, E1/4 of NE1/4 This is a funny deed. There is no record where, how or when John Crider obtained this land. County Clerk says that is was not require to record land sale at this time. The only other owner for this land is James Sides (wife Dorothea Key). This land was quite a few miles away from other Crider and Wilkes land. If the deed was not recorded it must have been that he trusted the persons he got it from. Was he related some how to James Sides? . James Sides married Dorothea Key in 1810 in Baton Rouge LA. They were in Baton Rouge LA census in 1820. James had a daugther Sarah Susannah that married in to McClendon family.
James Sides got this land in Sept 20 1825 in land patent # 1577 & 1576. James Sides had another land patent for E1/2 of SW ¼ of Sec 31 this was sold in November 1826 to Austin R Mygatt and record this deed was in Oct 1839. Austin R Mygatt only is found in one record, the 1830 Copiah County census where he is age 30-40. 1820 LA Baton Rouge - James Sides ??? (note ** in 1836 John Crider is selling his land in copiah county. Its locate about 10 miles from where John Crider had land in 1829 he sold. Its located about 5-6 miles from where Elijah Crider and Abner Wilkes had land. James Sides died before 1830) in 1836 at Copiah, MS, USA.

As of 1840, Johannes "John" Crider (or the family of) lived at Madison, MS. They appeared on the census (9 John Crider 001000000100-20001000000 (70-80).
