I am researching William A. Byrd and his wife Martha Emfinger, md 1868 in Franklin Co., MS. They were living in the home of Charles Emfinger, 32 and his wife Sarah, 37 in the 1870 Franklin Co. Census. Later, Wm. and Martha had children named: James Ellis, Joseph G., Sallie who married a Jordan, Rosie (Rosa) who married Jim F. Emfinger, and Samantha/Symantha/Cymantha who married Joseph G. Flowers. Jim and Joseph Byrd lived in the Vicksburg area. Rosie and Jim Emfinger were living in Usher Co., TX in 1930 and Samantha and Joseph G. Flowers were living in Harrison Co., TX in 1930.
