Here is some information that I have on the parents and siblings of Fred Oberschmidt PARSONS.
I will be glad to share information on the PARSONS' family.
BTW - the descendants of the parents of Thomas Cade PARSONS, Ira Lee PARSONS and Frances Rebecca MAGEE, are having a family reunion this Saturday, September 13 at the Mars Hill community center.
First Generation
1. Thomas Cade Parsons was born on 8 Oct 1861 in Franklin Co, MS. He died on 4 Mar 1926 in Franklin Co., MS. He was buried in Parsons Cemetery, Lucien, MS.
Thomas married Ida Ophelia Dickey daughter of Edwin Lewis Dickey and Mary Ann East on 21 Dec 1893 in Lincoln Co, MS. Ida was born on 22 Oct 1871 in MS. She died on 18 Jan 1948 in Franklin Co., MS. She was buried in Parsons Cem., Franklin Co., MS.
They had the following children:
2 M i. William Webb "Willie" Parsons was born on 18 Oct 1894 in Franklin Co., MS. He died on 2 Jul 1967 in Franklin Co., MS. He was buried in Parsons Cemetery, Lucien, MS.
William married Lorena Pauline Estes daughter of James Francis Estes and Lorena Glass. Lorena was born on 18 Jul 1897 in New Orleans, LA. She died on 22 Nov 1984 in Lincoln Co., MS. She was buried in Parsons Cem., Franklin Co., MS.
3 F ii. Eunice Ophelia Parsons was born on 13 Apr 1897 in Franklin Co., MS.
4 M iii. Prof. Fred Oberschmidt Parsons was born on 25 May 1900 in Franklin Co., MS. He died in 1941/1949. The cause of death was Surgery.
Fred married Nona Ivanore Brady daughter of Thomas Stephen "Tom" Brady and Perla Smith in Baton Rouge, East Baton Rouge Parish, LA. Nona was born on 19 Nov 1905 in Franklin Co., MS. She died on 25 Aug 1987 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was buried in Zion Hill Bapt. Ch Cem., Amite Co., MS.
5 M iv. William Francis "Frank" Parsons was born on 4 Jun 1901 in Franklin Co, MS. He died on 20 Dec 1984 in Adams Co., MS. He was buried in Parsons Family Cem., Franklin Co., MS.
William married Irene Blanche Smith daughter of Martin Luther Smith Sr and Zorda Aris "Zodie" Smith on 21 Dec 1923 in Lincoln Co, MS. Irene was born on 24 Jul 1905. She died on 28 Feb 1948. She was buried in Parsons Family Cem., Franklin Co., MS.
6 M v. Patrick Grant Parsons was born on 25 Jan 1905 in Franklin Co, MS. He died on 3 Feb 1951. He was buried in Pine Bluff Bapt. Ch Cem., Copiah Co., MS.
Patrick married Ada Pearl Smith daughter of Isham Smith and Beulah M. Reed on 5 Jun 1929 in Lincoln Co., MS.
7 F vi. Mary Elizabeth Parsons was born about 1910 in Franklin Co, MS. She died on 18 Oct 2000 in Kiln, MS.
Mary married Cornelius T. Favre Sr .
8 M vii. John H. Parsons was born on 20 May 1913. He died on 19 Mar 1979 in Franklin Co., MS. He was buried in Parsons Cem., Franklin Co., MS.
