As a follow up to my previous posts regarding whether Jane, wife of Claiborne Sandidge, was a daughter of Samuel Higginbotham and Jane Satterwhite, I have now located the record of an Elbert Co., GA suit in equity by Claiborne Sandidge dated 13 Sep 1805 in which it is stated that his wife Jane was formerly Jane Higginbotham, daughter of Samuel Higginbotham, deceased. Claiborne Sandidge in this five page suit in essence claims that he had been treated unfairly by the Administrators of the estate of Samuel Higginbotham. In my view, the wording of this legal document proves that Samuel Higginbotham and his wife Jane Satterwhite did in fact have a daughter Jane who was married to Claiborne Sandidge.
