I have a set of 26 letters written to or from Richard Story(b.1797) or close family of Covington Co.and Pike Co. MS. One third of these letters were written by his brother-in-law, J. F. Cole with news of the extended family. I am trying to locate the individual families in the 1880 census as most of the letters were written around 1879-1881. The families of Jesse Taylor Bullock,John Franklin Cole, David Delk(second husband of Saluda Cole), Jesse Cole, Jeptha Newton Cole, and F.M.Clark have been located. I am still seeking information on Jefferson or J.S.Robertson, a widower in LA, E.M.Hickling of Livingston Parish, and Sophronia Story Lee of Covington Co. Richard Story is my gg grandfather(his daughter Martha married T.J.Stephenson). Wayne Some of these families(Story, Robertson) are listed in the 1850 and 1860 census reports.
