Hi Sara,
We have had very little luck with the Covington County Company Re: 7th Regiment Miss. Inf. history. We are not quite complete on gathering information, but we are still getting new information all the time. I can not locate your relatives in the 7th Regt. Miss. Inf. They would be additions to our rosters. There is a possibility that they were in the 7th Battn. Miss. Inf. from Covington County. Please send any official records and we will add them.
Both units were raised in Covington County so there is always a question as to which "7th Miss." We are gathering information on the battallion as well since many relatives joined both units, and we have several joint battles.
