Interested in finding William McLain/McLaine descendants. On 1860 Coahoma County Federal Census, listed age 41, b. Tenn. with wife Mary (Pickens) age 39, b. NC. Children: James,20, Margaret,18, Elexander (Alexander),16, Nancy,14, Mary,8 and Martha 2. I have found CSA records for James H. and Alexander M., 11th Inf. Reg. Mississippi. Have not found them on 1850 or 1870 census, nor find marriage records for the children in Coahoma Co. William and Mary were married in Hardeman Co. Tenn. 5 Dec. 1839. She was daughter of Alexander Pickens and Margaret (Peggy) McLarty, who came to Miss. in 1850s. Would appreciate any information.
