Shirley,

Your info is helpful and I appreciate it. Other than the fact that Ginsey Young (dau of Green and Sarah Young) md James Bennett Quimby (killed Civil War), My interest in the Young family is as follows:

My Grandfather's half sister Willie Susan McCoy md. Bennett Jonas Quimby Jr in Clarke Co in 1903. Bennett's first wife was Martha Ann Vick Young aka Mattie. They were md. in 1898 in Clarke Co. I would really like to find out who were the parents of Mattie. Mattie was born c1882. Bennett Jonas Quimby Jr. was the son of B. J. Quimby Sr and Jane McCormick and should not be confused with Bennett Jonas Quimby (s/o Andrew Quimby) who md Martha Ann Taylor.

There were several quimby-Taylor marriages which I have not gotten to as yet.

Bennett Jr moved to Jones County Ms before 1910 and later to Franklin Parish, La. I lived nearby in Ouachita Ph.

Bill
