Collins and Williams, Clarke Co, MS
Posted by: Hal Amick Date: June 24, 2000 at 19:38:53
  of 424

The 1860 Census of Clarke Co records for Beaver Dam Post Office area the following:
Levise Collins, age 53, born GA
Thomas Collins, age 13, born MS
_____ Williams, age 22, born MS, farmer
Levina Williams, age 18, born MS

I believe Levise to be Levicy RUSH Collins, the widow of John COLLINS of Tuscaloosa Co, AL. He died 1855, after which she disappeared from the scene. There are no recorded children or grandchildren named Thomas Collins or anything Williams. Does anybody have a clue?

Levicy may be buried in Clarke County. I would be interested in cemetery information if anybody has it.

Thanks,
Hal Amick
