Hello. I've been researching the family and have hit a complete brick wall with this line.
I'm trying to track down the parents of a Sarah Jane "Sallie" Dodd, born 1878. I think her father's name was Anderson Dodd, but he was born in Georgia in either 1815 or 1832 (there is a discrepancy in the census records). I think he moved to Mississippi before the civil war. Her mother was born in Mississippi in 1838, but I have 3 different spellings for her name: Salendar, Saleta, and Salester.
She had several siblings, but I think she only kept in contact with an Edward, who was born in 1876.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
