Pat,

By now you should have received two other posts from me re your question regarding Native Americans in Illinois...and my rebuttal to that man named Richard who was so rude to you.

I scrolled through your family names and noted Lacy from NC, you also had the Jolly & Moore surname so if I'd found Rutledge or Blackshear, I would have guessed we might be cousins! LOL

Just wanted you to know there is a group of families with your surnames in Perquimanns Co, NC. They were Quakers and guess what...moved West, not South. A small number spread out into near by NC counties from Perquimanns Co. Mine I believe was the John Moore who names a daughter named Judith in his Will in Jones Co, NC (which came from Craven Co) and my Judith Moore was born the right time and in Craven Co, NC (before that portion became Jones Co) John Moore's executor of his will (and son in law of his deceased daughter) was Malachi JOLLY. The Moore's intermarried with Newby, Mace, Harris, Morris, Bogue & Pearson families. Your Lacy surname is also linked with marriages into the White families in Currituck Co, NC

So now you know all that I know about these families. But if it gives you one more place to look for answers, then it's deed well done!
Faye
