I'll get back to you shortly by e-mail, but I was going through some land records of Anson County and by chance included with the deeds in which I had been interested were some tantalizing possible clues to the Williams family, at least that of my Isaac. As I've mentioned before there was a Lt. Nathaniel Williams who served under Isaac in the militia in Tennessee, and also I have one record from Green Co., Ala., in which there is a reference to an Anthony Williams of Anson County, NC in the estate record of Susannah Williams, the latter of whom appears to be of some type of kin to my Isaac. Well, in the land deeds I was checking, there were "bits" of some other deeds too and in two of these "bits," dated around 1810, or so, I spotted mention the names of a Nathaniel Williams and an Isaac Williams! I also saw a reference to a George Williams! Could just all be coincidence, but it looks interesting nevertheless!
I'm not sure when I'll be able to follow-up, but while I'm here on GenForum trying to catchup on backlogs of messages, I figured I might as well mention the news to you here! Write to you more later, Jay
