If anyone has info. on John William(William) Riner b. Dec. 25, 1843 in Choctaw Co., Miss. or the names of his parents I would certainly appreciate you forwarding the info. to my e-mail address listed below. He served in Co. E 31st Miss. Inf. (CSA) during the Civil War. His first wife was Laurita Elizabeth Dougherty and his second wife was Emily Frances Key. He had 12 children. He left Miss. after the Civil war and lived until abt. 1893 at Dallas, Tex. and then moved to Indian Territory in Oklahoma. Nearly all of his references on his Civil War Pension Record are to Choctaw Co. His nickname was Buck in reference to his killing a large deer when a youth in Choctaw Co. There were other Riners in the Co. as early as 1840 and I don't know if they were related. My e-mail address is Rex Riner
