Winslows/Britts in 1850 census, Choctaw Co., Miss.

Is there anyone researching a family of Winslows. There is a Eli Winslow who is in the aforementioned census married to Alexander Britt and Nancy Prevatt's daughter, Demaris. I am hoping to make a connection as to parents about Eli. The census from Miss. in 1850 says he is from Ala. In 1860, Eli and Demaris were in Jackson Co., Ark with the rest of her Britt family. This 1860 census says Eli is from Miss. along with his Civil War military records that states the he is from Miss.
The only Ala census I've found refers to a Elisha Winslow with a large family; and it is from an 1850 census also. Suspect this is the father, but cannot prove it. Can anyone help?
