Williams, Lamb, and McMillan of Carroll/Montgomery Co., MS

I am trying to prove/disprove a suspicion I have about my William Williams. He was born in Kershaw District, SC in 1791. I believe he may have gone to Robeson Co., NC during the war of 1812. He married a Tilla (or Tella, or Telly, or Tally) sometime between 1814 and 1820 while living in Robeson County. He and his family moved with a John McMillan and a David Lamb to Carroll Co., MS sometime between 1830-1840. I believe that William's wife, Tilla, was a McMillan (d/o or sister of John McMillan). I also believe that Tilla's first husband was a Lamb that died before 1810. Furthermore, I believe she may have been the Tally Lamb living in Robeson County in 1810. If you should come across any reocords that may prove or disprove the above, please contact me via email at
