Hi Shirley This is what I found for you: Denman, John H. married Denman, Eliza D. on July 26th, 1845 Denman, John H. married Sullivan, Julia Ann on Aug. 2, 1853 That is it for the marriages, did not find Matthew being married to Eliza but I know they were. Will get to that later. Regarding the cemetery here is that information and these are all the one buried in Carroll County: OLD PLANK CEMETERY M.E. Denman/Nov. 1837/May 1, 1921 THE FOLLOWING FOUR GRAVES ARE ENCLOSED IN A GOOD WROUGHT IRON FENCE: J.C. Denman/July 18, 1830/Aug 1, 1899 P.A. Denman/June 2, 1866/Apr. 9, 1882 E. ?. Denman/Apr. 24, 1877/Oct. (stone broken) L.I. Denman/Aug. 18, 1872/Oct 21, 1877 That is all of them. Now I also checked a book called Carroll County Mississippi Pioneers. This is what I found: JANUARY TERM, 1842 Matthew B. Denman was appointed guardian of Joyney G. Denman, William A. Denman, Richie Denman, Elvira E.E. Denman, Mary Jane Denman, Sarah Denman, and Daniel W. Denman minor heirs of Martha Denman, dec'd. Hugh Rodgers, James L. Stevens and Richard Pyron were appointed appraisers of the personal property of Martha Denman, dec'd. JANUARY TERM, 1844 Matthew B. Denman, guardian of the minor heirs of Martha Denman, dec'd., presented a petition showing that four of his wards, to wit: C.J. Denman, J.G. Denman, John H. Denman and Wm. A. Denman, had arrived at the age of 21, where upon he was dischared from further duties as guardian of the four heirs. SEPTEMBER TERM 1844 Eliza Denman made application for letters of administration upon the estate of Matthews B. Denman, dec'd. Eli Stevens, James L. Stevens and Redick Stevens were appointed to appraise the property belonging to the estate. James L. Stevens, William Taylor and Hinesberry Glover were appointed to set apart one years provisions from the estate of Mathew B. Denman for Eliza Denman, his widow and relict, and for support of his children. You might want to contact the MS Dept. of Archive and history and get them to look further for you. It looks to me that Eliza died in the late 1840's or early 1850's. Should you need anything else please email me direct. Byrdie62@aol.com. Bobie Notify Administrator about this message?
