Charlie Peter & Miller D. Brooks Families

Seeking info. about the children of Charlie Peter & Nancy Viola "Parker" Brooks, and his brother ; Miller D. & Frances "Purnell" Brooks. Miller D. & Charlie Peter Brooks were the son's of M. R. & Lucy Brooks, they lived in Sumner County, (now Webster County, Miss.) in 1880, but later moved to Calhoun Co., Miss. abt. 1900. Charlie P. Brooks lived at Vardeman, Miss. for several year's, where he ran a store. He married Nancy Viola Parker, and they had 4 children, one son; Joseph Rhodes "Jodie" Brooks. Nancy Viola died very young, and was buried at Old Gauley Cemetery, Charlie P. later married Mattie P. Davis, and had one known daughter; Daisey P. Brooks. Miller D. Brooks first married Sallie Morgan Nov. 1, 1882 in Webster Co., Miss., Sallie may have died the next year, Miller married a second time to Mary Jennie McDonald 1883, and they had five children; Hattie O., Elmer L., James T., Mamie C., and Lydia Lavonia Brooks. Miller D. married third to Frances Caroline Purnell July 12, 1896 in Yalobusha Co., Ms., and they had five children. Their names were George D., Malcolm Orgile, Mertice, Newell C., and Richard L. Brooks. Miller D. & Frances C. Brooks family later moved to Tallahatchie Co., Mississippi before 1930. Miller D. Brooks died Jan. 31, 1939 in Memphis, Shelby Co., Tennessee.
