On page 168 Volume One Calhoun County, MS Cemetery Records #681 Lula Mae Cooner Carter is daughter of Sam Cooner. I assume she is not daughter of Mary V Cooner p 170 #758. I understand that Sam Cooner was married to Lara Smith prior to his marriage to Mary. Does anyone have information to this effect? Lara is shown on 1900 census living in household of her father John H Smith. On 1910 census Lula Mae Cooner is 8 years old living with father Sam Cooner and his wife Mary. Any information on Lara Smith is appreciated.
