Alexander Kilpatrick was born in SC in about 1796 and he died in Calhoun Co. MS in about 1876. He married Elizabeth Gore (1811-1879) daughter of Thomas T. Gore and Nancy Sanders. Alexander and Elizabeth had the following children;
1) Mary C. Kilpatrick (1831-1854) m. Elhanon D. Stevens.
2) Nancy Kilpatrick born 1834, Pickens Co. AL.
3) Frances Margaret Kilpatrick (1837-after 1880) m. Elhanon D. Stevens.
4) Sarah K. Kilpatrick born 1840, Pickens Co. AL.
5) Elizabeth Alexandra Kilpatrick (1845-1922) She married John Martin Dunn.
