CONROY-REYNOLDS 1865-1920 Calhoun Co,MI
My husband's ancestor was Patrick Conroy, b 06 April 1833 Glabe Township near Mountmellick, Queens Co., Ireland; d Abt. 1920 Battle Creek, Calhoun Co., Michigan. He is buried in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. He married Elizabeth Gibbons b May 1834 Creang, Cong Township near Ballinrobe, County Mayo, Ireland; d 18 November 1913, Battle Creek. Calhoun County, Michigan. They were married 17 November 1859 in Mount Morris, New York.
Patrick was a pioneer farmer of Calhoun County, Michigan. He first came into Battle Creek in the spring of 1865, driving an ox team.He settled on the site of Camp Custer in Bedford Township, but in 1867 he purchased a farm in Marshall Township, five miles southwest of Marshall. The family lived there until he purchased a farm in Emmett Township in 1880.He retired from farming and moved to the village of Ceresco in 1898.
Nine children were born to Patrick and Elizabeth: Charles (m Margaret Kelly), Margaret (m John Sweet), Mary Ann (m Robert Donnelly), Elizabeth (m James Whalen), John (m 1. Mary Brogan, 2. Agnes Brogan), James Patrick (m Anna R. Reynolds), Julia (m Stephen Wholihan), William (m Pearl Booth), and Stella (m Guy Struble).
I would like to exchange information with any descendants of Patrick and Elizabeth. I am especially interested in locating family of Anna R. Reynolds who married James Patrick Conroy.Apparently Anna had only one sibling; a sister, May Reynolds who never married.I do not know who Anna's parents were. She was born in Battle Creek in August 1875.She and James were married before 1900 in Battle Creek.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Mrs. Lonna Jean Conroy (Idaho)
