There were several Doughty or Doty entities in Bolivar County in the forties. Harry Doty worked at the Federal Compress in Cleveland. He was called "Little" Harry by some, which in the vernacular of the locale implies that there was a "Big" Harry: not necessarily physically bigger, just one step up the genealogical chain. I believe he left Cleveland in the fifties for an unknown destination. I am pretty sure that Harry had one or two brothers, but I don't know what became of them.
In that same time frame there was a Margie or Marjorie Doty who married Henry Jones of Merigold and had "Little" Henry circa 1937. There was some relation between she and Harry, but I don't know what it was. Henry died in a plane crash in Texas; Margie moved to Santa Barbara, California. Last heard in the 60s, her son Henry Jones was in Las Cruces, NM.
