I am seeking the names of the parents and siblings of Francis Porter HODGE who was born in South Carolina ca. 1807. His parents were born in Ireland.

Francis married his first wife, Jane ALLEN on 31 Aug 1839 in Chambers County AL.

In 1840 census for Chambers County, Alabama, on line 3 of printed page 173A, Written page 9, we find Francis T. HODGE. I'm 99% certain we're looking at Francis P. HODGE. His age range isn't too far off and Jane matches up perfectly. No children listed, which makes sense since Jane, b. ca. 1821, would be just 19 years old and other records show that their first known child, William Thomas HODGE, was b. Oct 1841.

On line 7 is Samuel ALLEN, with a male listed that could be old enough to be Jane's father. On line 15 is Tullison R. HODGE. Line 17 is John N. HODGE. Line 19 is James R. HODGE. Line 20 is George E. HODGE. Line 25 is James F. HODGE. These other HODGE men, based on their ages, are likely brothers and/or cousins. ALL OF THIS IS ON THIS ONE CENSUS PAGE. That's too much coincidence for me.

1850 Census - We find Francis & wife Jane & family in Chambers County, Alabama

1860 Census - We find Francis & second wife Emily WEEMS in Attala County, Mississippi with their children (a mix of Jane's and Emily's). Jane died in either Alabama or Mississippi ca. 1857 and Francis quickly remarried.

1870 & 1880 Census listings - Francis & Emily & family are found in Attala County, MS

In 1880, Francis reported that both his parents were born in Ireland. Who were they? Who were Jane H. (ALLEN) HODGE's parents? She was b. SC ca. 1821.

Francis & Emily both disappear after that, presumably dying in Attala County, though their graves have not been found. Where are they buried?

Any leads?
