I am looking for descendants of my gg grandfather John Frank Williams. He was born in GA in 1818, moved with his family to Pickens Co, AL, then on to Attala Co, MS in 1854. He was a leather worker and shoemaker in Center, Attala Co, until his death in 1903. He married an Artemissa Strickland in Noxubee Co MS in the early 1840's, had 2 sons, James and Hiram "Fonzie". Atremissa died about 1848 and John Frank married Tena Strickland and had several more children. John Frank Williams' father was named James Williams, born 1792 in GA, died between 1860 and 1870 in MS and Sarah (Beasely I think). I am a descendant of John Frank's son John Cub Williams and his wife Mary Tennessee Tittle. My grandfather, DuBard Williams was born in Center but left in the 1930's. He died in the 1960's and is buried out by Center with grandmother Tressie Frances McKay Williams.
I would really like to make contact with someone from this family who knows what happened to any descendants of the other family members.
Robert L. Williams
