CRAWFORD / KELLY - Attala & Holmes MS

I am in search of info on the family of my ggrandfather, John T. CRAWFORD (shown as Jno T. CRAWFORD), who was living in Holmes County, Mississippi in 1880 with his children and his wife, E.A. CRAWFORD, who was b. abt. 1840 - 1841 in AL.

There is a John T. CRAWFORD buried in Rocky (or Rockey) Point Cemetery in Leake County, MS who was a CSA veteran - 29th Miss Inf. Regt, Company K, Dixie Rifles. I think this might be my John T. CRAWFORD. He would have been the right age to have been in the Civil War.

The children of John T. CRAWFORD and E.A. CRAWFORD are:

R.B. CRAWFORD b. Jan 1868 MS, who was my grandfather, Robert Benjamin CRAWFORD
A.E. (Annie) CRAWFORD (dau) b. Jan 1866 MS
T.M. Crawford (son) b. abt. 1864 MS
M.J. or W.J. CRAWFORD (son) b. bet. 1869 - 1870 MS
M.L. CRAWFORD (dau) b. bet. 1875 - 1876 MS
C.C. CRAWFORD (son) b. bet. 1877 - 1878 MS

The 1880 Holmes County MS census shows that John T. CRAWFORD was 44 and born in Alabama, which would have made his birth year bet. 1835 - 1836.

His son, Robert Benjamin CRAWFORD, married Carrie KELLY (daughter of William Durham KELLY II and Isabelle Texas DAVIS of Attala and Winston Co MS) abt. 1899 and was living in Attala Co MS in 1900 with their children, Edith CRAWFORD, Lillian CRAWFORD and William Patrick "Pat" CRAWFORD. Their son, Robert Louis CRAWFORD, was b. in 1900 in Attala County, and they had another son, Earnest CRAWFORD, who was born abt. 1905 in Mississippi or Texas. Robert Benjamin CRAWFORD was killed abt. 1906 or 1907. He was trampled to death by his horses when he was trying to corral them during a lightning storm. His wife Carrie and children were living in San Angelo, Tom Green County, TX by 1920. The kids all later moved to Shreveport, Caddo Parish, LA. Most of them died in Shreveport, Louisiana.

John T. CRAWFORD's daughter, Annie CRAWFORD, probably married an Edward ALLEN and was living in Attala County MS in 1910 with their children, Crawford ALLEN, Earnest ALLEN, Edna ALLEN, Robert W. ALLEN, James Vernon ALLEN, Anna L. ALLEN, Thomas E. ALLEN, Mary C. ALLEN and Mattie R. ALLEN.

Any leads at all on any member of the family will be gratefully appreciated.
