Annie Lou Thompson, 90, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at the Mississippi Care Center. She was born May 8, 1921. She was a retired garment seamstress and a member of Central Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She always put herself last to make sure everyone else's needs were met. Her love for her family was unconditional.
Services were Friday, Sept. 2, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Corinth with burial in Shady Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons, Gerald Mitchell (Martha) and Harold Mitchell, all of Corinth; a daughter, Doris Doles of Corinth; a sister, Inez Hughey of Southaven; grandchildren, Anthony (Vickie) Mitchell, Elaine Dildy, Stacy (Scotty) Michael and Kristy Martin; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Kelsea Michael, Kayla and Cody Dildy, Cheyenne Martin, and Brandon and Kaitlyn Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Douglas Mitchell and James Thompson; her parents, Henry and Mattie Ross Carmon; and several brothers and sisters.
