Mary Maudie Allen Henderson, 84, died July 10, 2009, at her home. She was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church and a retired employee of Garan Manufacturing. She loved her family and friends, and enjoyed working in her garden, her flowers, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Services were at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Magnolia Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included her sons, Harry Allen and wife, Ellen, of Booneville, Lloyd Allen and wife, Debbie, of Memphis and Kenneth Allen of Corinth; her daughters, Joann Williams and husband, Robert, of Rienzi, Faye Brimingham and husband, Eulce, Lucy Scruggs and Connie Newman, all of Corinth, and Tammie Dolan and husband, Thurman, of Russellville, Ala.; a stepson, Dennis Henderson of Corinth; 27 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, four great-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Lawerance Allen; her second husband, Aubie Cleatus Henderson; a daughter, Mary Cathy Taylor; two grandchildren; her father, John Cook; her mother, Eliza Ray Cook; a brother, Robert Cook; and three sisters, Dora Mae Nichols, Gladys Rosser and Annie B. Nabors.
