Bro. Wallace South, 71, died May 7, 2008, at his residence. He was born Aug. 30, 1936, in Prentiss County to Estes and Audie Eder South. He was a former employee of Dana Corporation. He was a Pastor of the Corinth Church of God for many years, and he always put other first.
Services were at Corinth Church of God with burial in the Church Cemetery. Corinthian Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors included his wife Wilma South of Glen; one son Gary (Mary) South of Glen; four brothers, Charles (Barbara) South of Rienzi, Macey South of Corinth, Truman (Betty) South of Burnsville, N.C. (Genice) South of Iuka, Bobby (Faye) South of Rienzi; two sisters, Melvoline (Garvin) Walker of Rienzi and Earnestine Trimble of Cairo; grandchildren, Madison South, Becky Turner, Melinda Winters, Shae Spoon, Anna Tieken, Monica Baswell, Amanda Perry and Joe Shelton; great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ted South.
