Tedford Butler, 76, died April 23, 2008, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was a member of Kendrick Road Church of Christ and a retired self-employed timber cutter. He enjoyed working and cutting timber, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Services were at the Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories. Burial was in Fraley's Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery.
Survivors included his wife of 55 years, Artie Smith Butler of Corinth; one son, Larry Joe Butler of Corinth; three sisters-in-law, Minnie Grace Jones and Bonnie Strickland (Pete), both of Corinth, and Patsy Joan Hindman of Justice, Ill.; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Lee Daniel Butler; his father, Daniel Butler; his mother, Lueda Wilbanks Butler; brothers, Petey Butler, Henry Butler, Edward Butler and Pharoah Butler; sisters, Lillie Mae Spears and Bertie Lee Peters; his father-in-law, William Tom Smith; his mother-in-law, Minnie Gale Barnes Smith; sisters-in-law, Flossie Wilson (Woodrow), Jewell Mullins (Mark) and Mary McFall; brothers-in-law, Jack Smith, Simon Smith, Billy Jones and Willard Hindmon.
