Janis Ann Smith Mitchell, 63, died April 20, 2008, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was a member of Wheeler Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren and enjoyed sewing, gardening and being outdoors.
Services were at Wheeler Grove Baptist Church with burial in Forrest Memorial Park. Magnolia Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors included her husband of 46 years, Lionel Mitchell, Jr. of Corinth; two sons, Greg (Cindy) Mitchell, Reed (Julie )Mitchell all of Corinth; six grandchildren, Jake, John, Drew, Zack, Anslee and Ethan; two brothers, James Hayden (Ann) Smith, Danny L. (Paula) Smith all of Corinth; one sister, Bobbie Gail Sheppard of Monroe, La.; other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glen R. Smith; mother, Syble L. Smith; and a brother, Donnie G. Smith.
