Cecil O Fugua, 87, died April 19, 2008, at Darlington Oaks Hospice. He was born in Memphis. He retired after 41 years with one company going thru many different names, last being Dana Corp. He was a machine operator then a tool designer. He attended First United Methodist Church for over 65 years where he was active in Sunday School. He focused much of his time on prayer and reading the Bible. He was active in the YMCA and supportive of his sons during sports, high school and beyond. He was married to Jean Nash Fuqua more than 52 years. She preceded him in death in 1999. They enjoyed traveling and camping. He and Jean toured much of the United States pulling campers and later motor homes. They traveled to 32 states.
Services were at McPeters Chapel in Verona with burial in Henry Cemetery.
Survivors included two sons, Jerry (Kathy) Fuqua of Olive Branch, Miss.and Larry ( Sherry) Fuqua of Corinth; four granddaughters.
