Perry LeRay King, 51, died Feb. 25, 2008, in Charlotte, N.C. He was born in Corinth. He attended Easom High School and Mary Holmes College in West Point. He moved to Charlotte, N.C., where he attended Johnson C. Smith University. He was a manager at three banks in the Charlotte area. He was a senior collector at Citi Auto Financial at the time of his death. He loved to help the Salvation Army, especially during the holidays. He also like to play basketball, and write poetry and short stories.
There were no services. Visitation was at Grayson Funeral Chapel in Corinth. Burial was at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Survivors included his father, Perry C. King, and his mother, Ida Bell King; two brothers, Michael G. King (Rosemary) and Sebastian Rafael King, both of Corinth.
