Roy Garner, 92, died March 3, 2008, at Cornerstone Health and Rehab. He was a retired employee of Sears where he worked for 40 years. He was a faithful member and deacon at Macedonia M.B. Church until his health failed.
Services were at Macedonia M.B. Church with the Patterson Memorial Chapel was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included one son, Leroy Garner; five daughters, Marine Mayes, Mattie Luster, Theresa Hurd, Dorothy Richardson and Louise Justice; one sister, Sammie Joh; 20 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Garner; his parents, Richard and Parthena Garner; one sister, Cythina Garner; two brothers, Herman and John Garner; and a granddaughter, Shirley Alexander.
