Hickson Pendleton Wells, b. 1829 Adams County, MS

I am seeking any information on the parents and family of Hickson Pendleton Wells, who was born 10 Sep 1829 in Adams County, MS.

I believe his parents are John W. Wells and Martha Anne Hickson. This couple married March 1819 in Warren County, MS.

A mini bio for H.P. Wells, who was a probate judge in Marshall County, KS in 1880, stated he was born in Adams County, MS and that his parents died when he was young. I do not know who took care of H.P. and his sister when their parents died. I believe they would have died before 1840, possibly as early as 1835.

Not sure what kind of illnesses, etc., might have caused both parents to die when the children were so young and evidently living in the Adams County, MS area. Is there a mortality schedule for Adams County during the 1830s?

ANy help on locating information on this family between 1819 (date of marriage) in or near Warren County, MS, and the parents' death, probably in or near Adams County.

The 1880 census for Marysville, Marshall County, KS for H.P. Wells indicates his parents were born Father in WV and Mother in NC. (I have conflicting information that his mother may have been born in SC, according to a mini bio for H.P., who was a probate judge in Marshall County, KS at that time.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can write me at dawells2@aol.com with regard to this family.

Thanks so much.
Denise
