WANTED - Reward Offered - Mount Bonnell Namesake
Posted by: Steven BONNELL (ID *****1687) Date: September 07, 2008 at 16:51:14
  of 232

Both the
- 'BUnnell / BOnnell Newsletter'
and the
- 'BNL_dna Surname Project'
are looking to correct a possible historical inaccuracy concerning the
Namesake of Mount Bonnell in Austin, Texas.

Tradition says one person, George W Bonnell,
but some recent detailed research points to someone else, Joseph Bonnell.

Joseph was born 1802 and died 1840 in Philadelphia and
is buried in the Laurel Hill Cemetery.
His siblings are
Samuel, William (died young), Charles, & Lydia.
His parents are Charles & Mary Brehault.
Other local names are Bringhurst and Clarkson.

He married Anna Elizabeth Noble in Adams County, Mississippi on April 23, 1831.

Although the Reward is for specific information,
any other/additional comments or suggestions are welcome.

Please visit
for more specific & greater details and pictures.

Thank you for any responses.
