Does anyone know anything about the parents of my gr-gr grandmother, Charlotte Paine Williams Coxe? She lived most of her life in E. Baton Rouge although I believe her to be born in Adams Co., MS. Her brothers were Ferdinand Paine, George W. Paine, and I think John Paine. I know a lot about her children and her life with Wm. P. Coxe, but I've never been able to locate her parents. Thanks for any help. She divorced Wm Coxe in 1856 or so and lived with some of her children until 1870 when I can't locate her anymore. She had 5 children by James Williams and then she had my ancestor, Benjamin F. (Frank) Coxe (1847-1907 Baton Rouge.) Frank married Louisa Pucket. They had my grandfather, another B.F.Cox(e) (1873-1910).
